Studio Assistant
Studio Billie are looking for a creative and driven Studio Assistant to help make our beautiful candles. The role would provide direct support to the owner, Josephine, and will include a wide range of tasks across all facets of the business. About Studio Billie:
Studio Billie is a small creative studio which was formed in September, 2020. Over the last 18 months we have experienced overwhelming support from our customers and retailers across Australia, and we are currently stocked in over 30 stores nationwide. Our studio is situated in the leafy suburb of Cherrybrook, in the north-west of Sydney (half house and half candle warehouse!).
Our Candles are made from a refined soy wax blend, and are made individually here in our studio. Our philosophy is to create geometric forms that are inspired by the play of light and shadows. A family of sculptural pieces that will warm your home.
Location: North-West Sydney (Cherrybrook, Sydney)
Hours: Casual 1 - 2 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
Wick and pour candles
Maintain studio to a high standard
Pack and ship pending orders
Quality control of stock
Deliver stock to stockists (Sydney) - must have your own car
Manage customer and wholesale queries
Ordering candle and office supplies
Requirements:
This position would suit a creative individual who is looking to learn on the job in an ever changing environment!
Valid drivers licence and car
Experience making candles is a bonus but not necessary
Social media knowledge (Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok etc)
Prior experience working for an online retailer is desired
This position requires a high level of attention to detail and organisation
Experience with copywriting desired but not necessary
